After our huge win at the Baja 1000 our team decided to attack King Of Hammers to see how we stacked up against the rock racers. While pre-running the course I made a rookie mistake.
The 2024 King of the Hammers was a big deal, attracting off-road enthusiasts from all over the world who were eager to tackle the desert trails and prove their skills and I was one of them.
While pre-running, I made the decision to explore some of the rock trails in search of some alternative lines.
As I navigated my Polaris Pro R through a rocky canyon, trouble struck when my rear tires became wedged between two large boulders.
This posed a problem as other off-roaders began to stack up behind my vehicle. Imagine blocking traffic on the freeway at 5 PM while people are trying to get home.
It is like that but 1000 times worse. Angry drivers honking and yelling colorful terms. Thankfully, I had the Pro Eagle Phoenix DS CO2 Air Jack handy.
I quickly positioned the jack under the back of my Pro R and activated its CO2 lift system. With a slight hiss, the jack began to lift the vehicle, relieving the pressure on the stuck tires bit by bit.
It took careful maneuvering and a little bit of patience, but eventually Imanaged to free my Pro R from the rocks that had threatened to derail my day.
As sarcastic cheers and applause broke out among my team and the impatient drivers watching I was thankful to get the first and hopefully last rookie mistake out of the way.

We finished our day of pre running without any other issues. I went on to place 12th in class on race day after overcoming some mechanical issues.
